We just finished the book The Clique by Lisi Harrison. It is realistic fiction. It’s mainly about Claire (the new girl) trying to fit in with Massie, Kristen, Alicia, and Dylan who are rich, snobby, and beautiful.
Massie, Kristen, Alicia and Dylan are the most popular girls at OCD. That’s when the world made sense. Then Claire moved into Massie’s guest house and Massie’s world fell apart. For instance, Claire wants to be part of the Clique but she’s not clique material. So then the Clique becomes very mean to Claire and tries to ruin her life with evil pranks.Most of the book takes place at OCD (their rich and beautiful middle school) and Massie’s house.
We think that mostly middle school girls will enjoy this book because it’s about middle school girls so they can make connections to the book. The structure of this book is description because it gives lots of details about the girl’s lives. We thought that the author described the characters very well and we want to read the next book in the series! We thought this book was great and recommend it to anyone (mostly girls).
